Delhi: Kejriwal calls on Modi after election victory.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that he would look into the issue of granting full statehood to Delhi. Modi, who was being called upon by Aam Aadmi Party leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia after the AAP's victory in the assembly elections, said that while he did not reject the demand made by the two, building consensus on the issue would take time as the Bharatiya Janata Party did not have adequate numbers in the Rajya Sabha.

West Bengal: Lok Sabha by-polls to be test for Mamata 
The Lok Sabha by-polls for the Bongaon and Krishnaganj seats to be held on Friday is being seen as a litmus test for the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress ahead of next year's assembly elections. Bihar: BJP keeps options open ahead of trust vote
Ahead of the trust vote on Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's government to be held on February 20, officials of the Bharatiya Janata Party have said that the party is keeping its options open. Manjhi, who took over as Chief Minister following the Janata Dal (United)'s rout in the Lok Sabha elections last year, later faced a rebellion from legislators who elected former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as their leader. According to reports, the BJP, which enjoys the support of upper castes in the state, is expected to make its final decision on the matter within two days.

Rajasthan: Swine flu death toll reaches 130 
The swine flu death toll in Rajasthan reached 130 on Thursday, with 13 people, including a Swiss national, succumbing to the virus. According to an official of the state's Medical and Health Directorate, 1,631 people have tested positive for the virus since January 1. The maximum number of deaths have from the state capital of Jaipur, which has reported 23 deaths so far.

Odisha: Girls leave hostel after official takes nude pictures 
Sixty students from the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyayala in Odisha left their hostel after finding out that the school's accountant had allegedly clicked nude pictures of them with the help of the hostel cook. According to police, at least 22 and semi-nude photographs were recovered from the accountant, Tulu Bhuyan. Bhuyan had clicked the pictures during a picnic held for the girls last year. While a First Information Report has been filed against him, the hostel's warden has been put on leave following the incident. A female constable has also been deployed in the hostel premises for the safety of the girls.
